The tools and plug-ins
It doesn’t matter if you use a CRM or SRM system or CMS – we will streamline your workflow using plug-ins and/or our API. Here you can learn more about some of the plug-ins that we use day in, day out that might be of interest to you. We will be happy to advise you on the different options for using these tools together with the Diction connector that are available to you.
WordPress is a CMS that many of our clients use for their multilingual websites. WPML is a reasonably priced plug-in that allows you to manage translations in several languages in WordPress by exporting your online texts quickly in XLIFF format, without having to copy anything. XLIFF files are used to transfer translation files directly into our translation program, where they can be translated with the aid of a translation memory and terminology database. Our translation software exports the translated text with the same layout and structure of the original, so there is no need to format it later in your CMS. The finished translation is simply uploaded directly to WordPress.
Drupal is an open-source CMS with a framework that you can also use to build your website around. If you have text that you want translated in Drupal, all you need to do is download their proprietary XLIFF tool, which exports the text as XLIFF files that can be uploaded into our translation software. Once the translation is complete, the translated text can be converted back to HTML using the XLIFF tool before being uploaded back into Drupal.
TYPO3 is a CMS that many of our clients use. If your website was created using TYPO3, we recommend downloading their free localisation manager l10n. This extension allows us to download texts from TYPO3 in a format that we can process using our translation software. After the translation has been finished, your translated text will be uploaded to the correct location via l10n.
Many of our clients use the publishing system ns.publish – for annual reports, for example. ns.publish allows you to send us texts to translate or proofread with little more than a click of the mouse. All you need to do is click on “Start translation” in the program and we receive the files via an encrypted connection. Once our team of in-house experts have finished working on your texts, we send them back to you in ns.publish, and they are automatically imported.
