What should you keep in mind when translating financial texts?

Above all, make sure you work with experienced financial translators. The terminology is complex, and regulatory requirements and industry standards can vary depending on the target language region. Is it possible to have your annual report translated using AI?

We wouldn’t recommend it. AI is certainly a great help these days, but corporate reporting – and especially the annual report – is your company’s calling card and needs to perform at its very best for your readers. Vague language, generic phrasing – or worse, contextual errors missed by AI – simply can’t happen.

That said, AI can be great for sparking ideas and inspiration before you start writing. If you’ve trained the tool with your terminology, it can also create a rough framework in your company’s tone of voice. But AI should not be left to write complete texts on its own. For data protection reasons alone, you should never enter sensitive data or real figures and names – especially in generic black-box tools.
