We have been providing BMW Group Switzerland with translation and proofreading services for more than a decade. We started back in 2009, and won our first tender with the Group in 2017. Since then, all BMW Group Switzerland projects (including those for BMW Motorrad, MINI, Alphabet and BMW Financial Services) have come to Diction, giving us the opportunity to work on a wide range of text types.
Our language experts for corporate reporting have been celebrating recently after getting the news that Diction is now a Gold Partner of the Geschäftsberichte-Symposium, an event that is held annually by the Center for Corporate Reporting (CCR). The CCR is an independent centre of excellence for corporate reporting and the central point of contact for all key players in the corporate reporting community.
Since 2019, Diction has been the language services provider for ZF Friedrichshafen AG, an international company that provides mobility technology for cars, commercial vehicles and industrial applications.
Following an invitation to tender, Diction was selected as one of two exclusive language service providers for AMAG in January 2019. Our legal department in particular was able to score points with their expertise – as all legal translations for this major mobility provider are now our responsibility. Why were we chosen?
As ever, we deliberately didn’t celebrate the end of the year in December – we celebrated the new year in January. At the 2019 celebrations, there were once again some engaging speeches, fantastic food, a well-stocked bar, fabulous secret Santa gifts and an indefatigable DJ. Time seems to stand still in the beautiful Hundertwasser Market Hall in Staad – then all of a sudden, it’s three in the morning. Here are a few snapshots of the event:
Weleda fans at Diction are over the moon! Now, the famous logo isn’t just in our bathroom cabinets – it’s in our projects, too. Since summer 2018, we have been the preferred language service provider for this major natural cosmetics pioneer, and we’ve been getting in touch with our natural side to our hearts’ content: translating, proofreading and especially copywriting beautiful texts. What makes us such a good fit?
Ah, trade fairs. A chance for us language nerds to take a break from our screens! And especially for BERNEXPO GROUPE events – because since July 2018, we’ve been the proud partner and exclusive language service provider of this live marketing company. The BERNEXPO GROUPE runs over 200 trade fairs, conventions and other events every year in Bern and other locations across Switzerland. So our translators and proofreaders for German, French, Italian and English have plenty to do – right there on their screens.
Diction lent its support to the University of Liechtenstein’s Compliance Day 2018 as a sponsor. Our Head of Legal Translation, legal and compliance expert Gianna Halter, was particularly pleased that the focus of this year’s event was one of her favourite topics: compliance in the area of tension between digitalisation and new criminal offences. In between the exciting presentations, Gianna was able to meet many wonderful clients and colleagues at the Diction stand,
Here at Diction, we love it when things run smoothly. We are a long-term supporter of B2Run, the Swiss company fun run, and every year, our team don their running gear and take part in the St. Gallen race. Since February 2018, we have also been supporting B2Run in an official capacity with our translation services. We are very proud of this new partnership, and our team is more than ready for this year’s race as well – doing a thorough warm-up by translating all manner of sporting texts for B2Run.
Our Christmas party took place on 19 January 2018 at the Hundertwasser Market Hall in Staad, giving everyone here at Diction the chance to ring in the new year – somewhat belatedly, in time-honoured fashion. This year’s event was very much in the vein of previous Diction parties, and once the secret Santa gifts had been exchanged and copious amounts of food and drink had been consumed, the only thing left to do was dance the night away.
